Documentation
The complete platform manual.
Everything EliteXCharts does, explained the way we'd explain it at the desk: straight, with the real name of every button. Use the search on the side to jump right where you need.
Getting started
Installation
EliteXCharts runs natively on Windows (.exe) and macOS (.dmg) — same code, same features. During the closed beta the installer arrives by e-mail together with thewaitlist invite. Requirements: Windows 10/11 or macOS 13+, 8 GB of RAM and a stable connection; no dedicated GPU required — the SkiaSharp renderer runs light on ordinary hardware.
Connecting to Rithmic
Open Menu → Connections, pick your broker/prop server (Apex, Topstep, Lucid and other desks that use Rithmic), enter user and password and connect. The connection isdirect R|Protocol — no bridge, no middleman. Important: Rithmic drops duplicate logins; close other platforms using the same user before connecting.
- Password vault (opt-in) — check "remember password" and it's stored encrypted locally (DPAPI on Windows); the next connection is 1 click. The 🔑 button changes or deletes the saved password.
- Automatic history — on connect, the platform downloads the missing ticks and keeps everything in a local binary cache: reopening the chart is instant and even works offline.
- Front contract — the continuous symbol (e.g. NQ) resolves by itself to the current contract by expiration.
Languages
The interface is 100% translated in English and Portuguese (~2,800 keys) — switch live in Menu → Language, no restart.
Workspaces & widgets
The platform opens in workspaces — independent work areas, each with up to4 panels side by side. Everything persists: layout, symbols, indicators, zoom, theme. Connections are global (Menu), so every panel shares the same feed.
- Chart — the main widget (one per panel), with chart trading built in.
- DOM — price ladder with real depth (Level 2).
- Times & Sales — the aggressor tape in real time.
- Accounts — every account's card with balance and day P&L.
- Trading Journal — full diary with calendar, playbook and clips.
- Recording History — the generated clips, with a built-in player.
- Economic Calendar — the day's US indicators with importance.
- News — real-time feed (FinancialJuice) with an alarm on red headlines.
- Crypto — BTC/ETH via Deribit with candles and Renko.
Indicator sub-panels (MACD, ATR…) can be detached into their own window via the header icon.
The chart
Chart types
- Time candles — from M1 up, built tick by tick.
- Renko with wicks (ShadowRenko) — the house's signature chart: bricks with the real intra-brick wick, adjustable anchor. Made for trading failed breakouts.
Navigation and zoom
- Mouse wheel — proportional zoom (horizontal + vertical together), anchored at the cursor.
- Continuous zoom — when column width hits the cap, the wheel keeps stretching the price axis by itself, down to the tick limit. Only then does the zoom run out.
- Drag the axes — drag the price axis to scale vertically; double-click returns to auto-fit.
- History on demand — reached the first candle? The Load +N days button appears and completes the history in the background, without reloading or losing the framing.
- Sessions — RTH/full filter per chart (⚙ → General).
Customization
The chart's ⚙ controls everything by tabs: background/axis/candle colors, grid, footprint, quote line, orders — with named theme templates, a global default theme and factory restore. The economic calendar and the indicator legend anchor at the top-left corner and reposition themselves.
Footprint
The EliteXCharts footprint is a professional-grade cluster: bid × ask per price level inside each candle, with delta and volume columns, POC, value area and imbalances. It turns on by itself when the zoom gives the numbers room — and loads instantly: the footprint history opens in seconds thanks to pre-processed minute bars.
Cluster anatomy
- Middle column (bid × ask) — volume hit on the bid and lifted on the ask, side by side, with the POC cell highlighted.
- Delta column — green/violet bar with the level's delta (number inside). Can sit on the left or the right — sides are mirrorable.
- Volume column — bar + number of the level's total volume, opposite the delta.
- Embedded candle — the candle drawn with the cluster: None · Left · After delta · Center (channel inside the bid×ask) · Before volume, from 0.6× to 6× wide.
- Collapsible blocks — turn a column off and the others close ranks; no dead space.
Automatic readings
- POC — a box outlining the candle's highest-volume level, labeled "POC" at the edge.
- VAH/VAL — the 70% value area computed per candle, with a subtle band and labeled lines.
- Diagonal imbalance — outline on the dominant half when the diagonal ask/bid ratio passes the configured factor; stacked imbalances (minimum run) get a thick border. Ratio, minimum run, minimum volume and colors are configurable.
- Candle Delta Sum — Σ of the delta in bold (configurable size, default 2×): above the cluster when negative, below when positive, with the bid and ask sums over their columns.
- Price × delta divergence — marks candles that close against their own delta.
- Heat filter — delta bars on an intensity ramp (weak→strong) instead of fixed green/red.
Aggregation and space
- Aggregate ticks — merge N price levels into a single cell (default 1). Aggregated, the footprint shows up with far less zoom.
- Delta / volume space — each block has its own scale (0.6× to 6×). Growing one pushes the neighboring columns: the chart widens every column proportionally, squeezing nothing.
- Fill gaps — levels with no trades inside the range show as 0×0 (market standard).
Where to configure
Three paths, same block of options: the floating panel on the chart's left edge (appears when the footprint is visible; auto-collapses in ~10 s), the chart ⚙ → Footprint tab and right-click on the footprint icon. Colors (delta +/−, volume, heat) apply to every chart. You can save as the global default, restore factory settings and keep named templates — each widget can use a different one.
Indicators
A lean, sharp catalog — each one exists because it's used at a real desk.
- Big Trades — marks the large aggressions right on the candle, with a per-symbol size trigger. The big players' fingerprint.
- Volume Profile — session/range profile with POC and value area; also as a drag-anywhere tool.
- Delta — cumulative delta and a per-range delta tool.
- VWAP — per session and anchored on any candle, with deviation bands.
- Moving averages — configurable SMA/EMA, short and long, plus a trend EMA.
- Greek Levels — options gamma levels (Max+, Max−, zero) plotted on the future and updated through the day.
- Market temperature — Renko exclusive: paints each brick by formation speed (fast = hot, slow = cold), in 10 calibrated levels.
- Swings — automatic highs and lows with zigzag.
- MTF candles — higher-timeframe candles drawn over the current chart.
- Session levels — open, day high/low, overnight and previous day.
- Sequences & reversal count — brick/candle streak readings.
- Linear regression, RSI levels, open trigger, clock, range exceeded — quick-read utilities.
- Economic calendar and news on the chart — the day's US events and headlines (FinancialJuice) anchored at the chart corner.
- MACD and ATR — in collapsible, detachable sub-panels.
The corner legend lists active indicators with 👁 (show/hide), ✎ (configure) and 🗑 (remove) — and collapses by itself to stay out of the way.
DOM & Times · Sales
The DOM is a price ladder with real depth (Rithmic Level 2): bid/ask stacked by price, aggregated volume and big-queue highlighting. Times & Sales is the aggressor tape: every trade with side, size and speed, with minimum-size filters. Both share the symbol picker with the panel's chart.
Chart Trading
Orders right on the chart
- Shift + click — places a limit order at the clicked price; Alt + click — a stop order. Holding Shift/Alt, the wheel changes the quantity of the preview before you drop the order.
- Draggable TP and SL — target and stop lines on the chart; drag it, and it changes at the broker. Native OCO: one fills, the other cancels.
- TP/SL partials on the order — split the target or the stop into partial exits right on the order line, on the chart, no menu.
- OCO on pending orders — the pending order is born with TP and SL attached, and you drag and adjust both BEFORE it fills.
- Visible position — average price, quantity and live P&L on the chart; ✕ to flatten/cancel; ▲▼ to adjust a pending order's contracts.
- Breakeven & partials — stop to breakeven in one click; half out with ½.
- Execution dock — side panel with BUY/SELL, quantity, day P&L, flatten and reverse. Slides open and closed.
- Cross-trade mini → micro — analyze on NQ and execute on MNQ with sizes matched automatically.
- Order sounds — configurable audio feedback per event (pending, fill, stop, target).
Orders, positions and OCOs are scoped per account — with several accounts connected, nothing leaks from one to another.
Risk manager (RiskGuard)
RiskGuard is not a warning — it's a lock. With a rule armed, the order that would break the limit is held before it leaves. Rules per account:
- Max daily loss and daily goal — each with optional auto-flatten.
- Contract cap — for the whole account, summing every symbol and what's resting.
- Trading hours — allowed windows in 30-min blocks (ET); the chart badge shows "open from X to X", already accounting for the market close.
- Consecutive stops — a cap on stops in a row.
- Max averaging — percentage limit over the initial entry.
- Simultaneous accounts and group — locks by number of accounts trading and stopped-out accounts in the group.
The "Risk rule armed" badge sits discreetly in Chart Trading and expands on click. An armed rule is immutable until 6:00 PM ET — on purpose: the rule exists for the moments you'll want to break it. The kill-switch flattens everything and disarms in one click.
Accounts & simulator
- Rithmic multi-account — eval, funded and live connected at the same time, with full isolation per account.
- Live P&L from the server — on live accounts, balance and day result come straight from the server, including what was closed outside the platform.
- Manual starting balance — Rithmic doesn't expose starting balance or withdrawals; enter the starting value on the account card's ✎ and the Journal computes withdrawals by itself.
- Named simulator accounts — as many as you want, persistent, with per-fill history and realistic commission costs.
- Accounts widget — every card on one screen: balance, day P&L, controls and the history of accounts that ever passed through the platform (even deactivated ones).
Trading Journal
The diary that fills itself — every fill becomes a stat instantly, sim or live.
- Summary — win rate, profit factor, averages, streaks, costs, by period.
- Trades — the full table: entry/exit, duration, gross/net result, playbook, note and the Clips column with ▶ to watch the trade's clip (16:9 and 9:16) without leaving the table.
- Charts — equity curve, distribution by hour/day/duration.
- P&L calendar — the whole month day by day; click a day and the panel opens with its trades.
- Playbook — label each trade's strategy and compare performance per setup. Where you find out where your edge really is.
- Manual trade (Ⓜ) — log trades made outside the platform.
- Full account history — pulls ALL the Rithmic account's fills, not just what went through the platform, with settled days cached.
- Cloud sync — the journal follows you between machines.
Clips & recording (Trade Recorder)
The house's unique feature: the platform records the session in the background and, at the end, automatically generates a clip of every trade — entry, management and exit — in high resolution. The clip's chart is re-rendered from ticks, clean — it's not a screen recording.
- Two formats per trade — 16:9 (YouTube) and 9:16 (TikTok/Instagram/Shorts).
- Selectable layouts — with a trade data panel, compact or chart-first, with a real preview in the dialog.
- Trader camera — round or rectangular, aspect, zoom, pan, mirror and draggable position, with live preview.
- Microphone — device picker with a live level (VU) meter, Windows and macOS.
- Social @s — Instagram, TikTok and YouTube as chips burned into the video.
- Discreet EliteXCharts watermark.
- Recording History — a widget with every clip and a built-in player; in the Journal, every trade with a clip gets the ▶.
Flow: Menu → Trade Recorder → set camera/mic/@s → trade normally → on stop, the clips appear in the History and the Journal.
Replay
Relive any market day tick by tick: pick the start point right on the chart (cut tool), control speed and pause, and trade with simulated execution inside the replay — entry training as if it were live. Up to 2 synchronized symbols on a single clock. History covers the listed contract's whole life — without the ~90-day limit common on other platforms.
Copy Trading
Replicate a master account's execution to the other connected accounts: trade once, the replicas follow — with per-account quantity scaling and the Copy Statuswidget showing what each account copied, what's in position and any divergence. Prop-firm multi-account without the mouse juggling.
Multi-symbol backtesting beta
The house's quantitative study module: test objective rules over the tick-by-tick history, on several symbols at once, with modeled costs and slippage and a metrics report (result, drawdown, distribution by hour). In closed beta — availability and scope announced inside the platform.
Backtesting is a study tool. Simulated results have inherent limitations and do not guarantee future results.
Crypto (BTC/ETH)
A dedicated widget with BTC and ETH via Deribit (WebSocket): multi-timeframe candles and Renko with wicks built from the trade feed — to track risk-on/risk-off without leaving the platform.

FAQ
Do I need a broker account to use it?
For live data and execution, yes — the platform connects to your account via Rithmic (brokers and props like Apex, Topstep, Lucid…). Without an account you can still use the simulator and the replay with already-downloaded history.
Is EliteXCharts a broker? Do you hold my money?
No and no. We're a software tool. Your money stays at your broker/prop; the platform only routes the orders there via Rithmic.
Does it work on Mac?
Yes — Windows and macOS with the same code and the same features, including clip recording with camera and microphone.
Does Rithmic data cost anything?
Market data is contracted with your broker/prop (exchange and feed fees are theirs, not ours). Full transparency: that cost exists on any Rithmic-connected platform.
Is the clip a screen recording?
No. The clip's chart is re-rendered from the trade's ticks, in high resolution, with its own layout — the camera and audio are recorded from the session and composed into the final video.
Can I use several accounts at the same time?
Yes — multi-account with full isolation: orders, positions and OCOs scoped per account, and Copy Trading replicates from the master to the others if you want.
What if the platform closes mid-recording?
Recording uses a crash-proof format — what was recorded up to that point is recoverable, and clips of already-closed trades are generated normally.
Do you give signals or recommendations?
No. EliteXCharts is a tool for analysis, execution and study. No feature recommends a trade — the decisions are yours.
